Pioni jewellery are created by a Helsinki based jewellery designer Jaana Junkkaala. The founder of independent label creates sustainable collections inspired by various themes.

Jaana’s work is characterised by lightness and clarity. Many of her jewels evoke memories or moods. They tell of the good times they symbolise, inspiring the recollection of events with similar associations in our own lives.

In her design work, Jaana is drawn to the versatility of traditional materials, surface treatments, and strong emotional bonds to jewellery. The designer's sensitivity and talent for observing her surroundings are conveyed in her jewellery collections as well as her unique pieces. Her jewellery is often associated with a range of stories, which are passed down the decades.

Although Junkkaala is inspired by her extentive travels and meeting new people, all of the pieces are handmade in in Helsinki.
